February 15th was National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, and although it fell on a Sunday this year, we wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible SROs.

Our School Resource Officers do so much more than keep our schools safe. They build meaningful relationships with our students, serve as mentors, offer guidance, and help create a positive and secure learning environment across Henderson County Schools.

Their presence brings comfort to students, staff, and families alike, and their commitment does not go unnoticed.

Please join us in thanking our SROs for their dedication, service, and the care they show our schools each and every day. We are grateful for all that you do!

This week, Henderson County Schools celebrates our incredible Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) Coordinators.
Our FRYSC coordinators are a lifeline for students and families, helping remove non-cognitive barriers to learning by connecting them to food, clothing, social services, and critical support. Their compassion, dedication, and behind-the-scenes work make a lasting difference in our schools and our community.
Thank you for all you do for our Henderson County students and families. Because of you, we continue to Pursue Excellence—together.

We had great data meetings today! Thank you to those groups for moving things around a bit and being prepared for those conversations. We appreciate the flexibility. We have updated the Living Calendar with the schedule for tomorrow's data meeting times and updated other events and dates we've had to reschedule. Due to the ongoing winter storm and hazardous road conditions, Henderson County Schools will be closed Monday, January 26 through Wednesday, January 28. Our childcare centers will be closed as well.
These days will be NTI virtual learning days. Detailed instruction will be sent by your child’s school or on your school’s Facebook page.

Due to water-covered roads, continued rising waters throughout the morning, and the threat of severe weather, Henderson County Schools will be closed on Friday, March 3. This will not be an NTI day of instruction. Child care centers will be open today at East Heights, Bend Gate, and Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center.
