Club Descriptions:

Escape Game

Students are welcomed and ‘locked’ into an escape room and given a fictional, mysterious background story. Students then have to find clues and work together as a team to accomplish a task, which unlocks four secret locks so they can solve the problem and ‘escape’!

Media Club

Media club works on weekly announcements gathering information on birthdays, sports, meetings, menu, and special events. We work collaboratively using google classroom submitting work through google slides.  We work on recording the pledge and have conducted a few interviews throughout the year.

STEAM

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. STEAM is a club in which students work together to accomplish and solve challenges. STEAM develops thinking and reasoning, forces teamwork, and encourages investigative and creative skills that students can use in all areas of their lives.

Drama/Improv

Students will learn about improvisation techniques as well as drama elements. They will see examples from famous shows like "Whose Line is it Anyway" and they will enhance their acting skills with voice and movement.

4H and TOPS

4H and TOPS meet every Thursday and play team-building games.  They also talk about ways to improve the community and become better citizens.

Play 60

Play 60 is an hour of movement, play, competition, and fitness designed to get all kids active. Different activities will be scheduled on Wednesday afternoons to provide the opportunity for personal and team challenges, setting and reaching individual goals, and best of all, having fun. Organized games and play will be the focus in getting kids to Move It, Move It!

Robotics

Every day, a team of students meet to learn how to program various parts of an advanced robot named KATE.  Kate is on loan from Murray State University and has the ability to interact using voice and facial recognition software.  The students each have their own piece of the program to learn and then they all come together to build the overall all program, simulating a real world work environment.
